Durant mon voyage au Maroc dont je vous ai montré un aperçu dans mon dernier billet, j’ai visité le jardin Majorelle notamment connu pour son bleu outremer clair et intense où il a été inventé et pour avoir été la villa d’Yves Saint-Laurent et de Pierre Bergé. Cette couleur tient son nom de l’artiste français Jacques Majorelle, qui l’a créé en 1937 et en a recouvert les murs de sa villa et son jardin à Marrakech. Son petit jardin botanique, composé de plantes exotiques du monde entier, a ensuite été ouvert au public. En 1980, longtemps après la mort de Majorelle, Yves Saint-Laurent et Pierre Bergé ont racheté le jardin à l’abandon et l’ont restauré. Après la mort d’YSL, ses cendres y ont été dispersées et un mémorial a été construit.

Cette oasis est vraiment magnifique et j’ai adoré m’y promener et surtout y prendre des photos.

During my trip to Morocco, I got to visit Le jardin Majorelle, who is known for the Majorelle Blue where it was invented and for being the house of Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé. This color is named after Jacques Majorelle, the French artist who created it in 1937. He famously painted the walls of his house and garden of that color in Marrakech. His little botanical garden was even open to the public. Later after his death, YSL bought the garden and restores it. Now his ashes have been spread in the garden and a memorial has been built.

Effectively, this garden is gorgeous and I liked to walk me through it.
