Marque à l'essai: Rimmel

 Aujourd’hui au banc d’essaie la marque britannique Rimmel. J’ai testé une bonne partie de leur gamme et je vous dirai quels produits en valent la peine et lesquels sont à éviter.J'ai pensé qu'au lieu de simplement vous montrer leur emballage, j'allais aussi les utiliser tous ensemble pour créer 2 looks, afin que vous puissiez les voir en action.

Today on the tryout is the British brand Rimmel. I tested out a good part of their products and I will tell you which products are worth it and which ones you should avoid. I thought that instead of simply showing you the packaging, I would use them to create two looks, like that you can see the products in action.

 First: the base

 The stay matte primer

Pour moi, il y a deux types de base de maquillage : celles qui cachent les pores et unifient la peau et celles qui aident le fond de teint à « coller » sur votre peau. Celle-ci fait définitivement partie de la deuxième catégorie et c’est pourquoi je ne l’ai pas aimée du tout! Elle ne change rien à mon teint et elle est très inconfortable avec le font de teint qui l’accompagne, donc un gros 2/10

There’s two kind of primers : the one usually with silicone who hides your pores and “perfect” your skin and there’s the other kind that helps your foundation to stick on your face. This one is definitely of the second kind which is why I didn’t liked it. It’s uncomfortable under the foundation that comes with it and it does absolutely nothing to your complexion on it’s own so for me this is a good 2/10

The Say matte foundation

Ce fond de teint mousse est bien pour camoufler, mais le finit n’est pas flatteur. Le duvet (petits poils presque invisibles surtout sur les joues et au-dessus de la lèvre supérieure) est accentué et c’est inconfortable à porter. Peut-être que je suis habituée au BBcreams, mais ce produit est un flop total pour moi : 1/10

This mousse foundation is really great to cover up but it’s a bit cakey. The matifying effect accentuate the blond hairs of your skin (you know the almost invisible ones that covers your whole body??) and also is uncomfortable. Maybe it’s because I’m a bb cream lover but this product was a total flop for me : 1/10

Second : The eyes

Scandal Eyes eye shadow sticks

Heureusement, les choses vont mieux du côté des produits pour les yeux que ceux pour le teint. Ces crayons s’appliquent à merveille et s’estompent en un clin d’œil avec l’index. Parfait pour les matins où l'on est pressé, car ils ne nécessitent aucun pinceau. 8/10

Gladly, things are better in the eye department than the face one. Those pencils glides really well, they blend easily, no need to rub your eye to get that smoky effect and they’re quite pigmented. It’s perfect to get ready quick, you don’t need any brushes, you blend lightly with your index and the look is done. 8/10

Scandal Eyes waterproof khol kajal eyeliners

J’aime qu’il ne soit pas nécessaire avec ces crayons d’appliquer plusieurs couches pour obtenir l’intensité désirée comparée à d’autres des pharmacies. Je les aime surtout pour tracer la ligne intérieure, car ils sont doux et hydrofuges. L 9/10

What I like about those liners, is that compared to other drugstore brands you don’t need to layer it to obtain the color wanted. Especially if you use it on the water line, it’s nice to have something smooth and waterproof like those pencils. 9/10

Last: the lips

 Moisture renew Lipsticks

Ces rouges à lèvres ont l’odeur classique de vanille des rouges à lèvres qui me donne le goût d’en réappliquer toutes les demi-heures. Les couleurs que j’ai, Latino, Coffee Shimmer et Vintage Pink sont des teintes naturelles très flatteuses grâce à leur légère brillance qui donne juste assez de lustre aux lèvres. 8/10

Those lipsticks have that classic vanilla smell that I love! The colors I got, Latino, Coffee Shimmer and Vintage Pink are natural looking shades that could compliment a lot of skin tones. The shimmer is subtle and gives you that hint of gloss that reflects the light beautifully. 8/10

I used it as a lipstain for a gradient lip

Color Rush balm

Et pour finir, mon produit coup de cœur, dans la teinte de Redder the Better. À mon avis, ce laque à la qualité et la pigmentation des Colorburst mats de Revlon sans le facteur mat. Mes lèvres sont très lustrées et hydratées et encore une fois, l’odeur est délicieuse (je la décrirais comme des cupcakes avec une montagne de crémage.). Et la couleur est le parfait rouge Taylor Swift. 10/10

The last product is incidentally my favorite. To me, it haves the quality and the pigmentation of Revlon’s colorburst matte balm, without the matte factor. It’s really glossy and the smell, is again amazing! It’s like a vanilla cupcake with a lot of icing. As for the color, it’s the Taylor Swift red.10/10

 The Final Looks:

Donc, Rimmel a du travail à faire pour sa gamme pour le teint, mais le reste des produits en valent largement la peine pour leur petit prix.

So, the skin products needs some (a lot) ameliorations but the rest are worth it, especially for their small prices.
